He finally was able to escape the crowd of people. Outside. Fresh air. Openness. It was time for lunch break, and he was able to go out to the castle’s courtyard and sit alone. There were other people outside eating as well, but none that would bother him. He didn’t have anything to eat, but he didn’t worry about it. He just wanted to sit on this stone ledge and relax. Interacting with so many people is just draining sometimes.
“So, what’s your story?” a figure was suddenly sitting next to him. This figure was larger than he was, taller, thicker, and he held his head high with a grin of confidence – something unusual for someone of the arriving freshman class.
“Were you talking to me? Uh..” he looked over nervously.
“Well, yeah. You’re all alone. I thought I’d give you someone to talk to,” the figure replied. This guy actually seemed interested.
